Old Sam Snail is dead. He froze to death. Well, we think he did. No one bothered to do a proper check before Pathetic Flower's hammer came down on Sam's shell, followed by him being devoured by a ravenous horde.
In his twilight years Sam became a stinking alcoholic. A single malt was his favoured tipple, although he did like his brandy - expensive tastes for a snail! In his younger days he was the bass player in the legendary folk rock band 'Slow Lane'. He made the headlines with his heavy drinking and constantly being in and out of rehab. Then, along with the lead singer of Slow Lane Warren Lockwood, they were thrown out of rehab for having set fire to the kitchens whilst looking for methylated spirits. "Disinfecting work surfaces" they protested. When he was sober, Sam was a keen amateur cook with French cuisine being his passion. He will be sorely missed but his undeniable talent will live on in the recordings of Slow Lane.
In honour of Old Sam Snail here’s a little recipe for you to try at home.
