Brain Robin thinks he's a wise old bird. In actual fact he's bonkers. In another world he could have been a high flying lawyer, a superstar DJ, a lollipop lady or Chancellor of the Exchequor.

Despite being qualified for masses of stuff he prefers to bake. He started attending experimental cake baking lessons many years ago and now runs his own tight kitchen.

He took to baking as solace after the sudden and inexplicable death of his lover Bertram Blackbird. Despite the police not being able to find the body Brian consoled himself by baking a delicious four and twenty pie. Not a strictly a cake but it's inspiring what you can manage during mourning.

Recently he introduced his friend Wormy Wood to the joys of the baking of the cake — but that's another story.
